SALE Season: Sephora Edition

As with every November, comes the SALE season. Personally, when I hear the word SALE, my body automatically sits up straighter; I love a good sale, just like many of you I assume. Since becoming a mom, a lot of my “play funds” are allocated towards my children, and even more so, I feel guilty sometimes purchasing something for myself instead of my children – even though these kids have everything they need. Nevertheless, even before I became a Mama I’ve been conscious of my spending habits – I splurge where “necessary” but whenever possible, saving money on products is my top priority.

This rule goes for everything fashion related; clothing, accessories, cosmetics, footwear. Of course, some things never go on sale – thanks LV for not abiding by the joys of sales – but this is where we can decide to splurge and save.

Sharing sales can sometimes be a tricky thing, as prices, promo codes, and discounts can change frequently. So instead of creating posts with current sales, I’m going to create posts with inspirations for when you do get a chance to go shopping. First off, cosmetics! Starting with Sephora, I thought I’d share my Wishlist with you; along with possible alternative locations to buy these products.

Make-Up!

/ MERIT is a brand I have been researching for a while; I’ve been hearing great reviews, but most importantly, the brand has EU standards, meaning that they exclude 1300 ingredients which are banned from use in EU cosmetic brands. You can purchase Merit from their site directly, or from other retailers, like Sephora / Summer Friday and Dior Lip Glows are my go-to all year long. In terms of Dior, you can buy from Dior directly and *usually* receive a gift with purchase, or for example Shoppers Drug Mart on bonus Optimum Points days / Ilia is another brand I’ve heard really good things about, and they are also certified “clean” which makes me happy / A highlighter and brow gel are always a good addition to a makeup bag /

Face and Body!

/ Tata Harper is a brand I’ve had my eye on for over 5 years now; maybe I’ll finally leap to purchase it this year / Caudelie has had amazing reviews, and firming cashmere cream just sounds dreamy / The Summer Fridays sheer tint has an SPF to it; which I now realize is important / The Fenty Skin tint is a newbie and tempting / Herbivore products smell amazing – this bath soak is one of their best products (if only I had time to soak in a bath haha) / Ditto for OUAI products – they smell amazing and are highly rated / Elemis is a brand I found to be very popular in the UK market – worth a try / MorrocanOil is my go-to for hand creams and hair oils, so naturally a choice here / Olehenriksen makes great cosmetics, so this should be a good choice for lip treatment /

Hair!

/ MorrocanOil hair oil treatment is something I’ve been using for years – literally / A Drybar brush because it’s pretty / Dry bar rollers so I can try something new (and date myself back to my favourite era). Drybar is also a brand that I’ve seen at some Winners/Marshalls stores, specifically the hair rollers / Crown Affair powder dry shampoo – sounds fantastic, to be honest, and just what my husband was looking for / Gisou hair oil is dreamy – but since it contains some ingredients we’re allergic to, we won’t be getting it / Dae and Vegamour are two new brands for me – something to try / Slipsilk scrunchies – pretty and practical /

Shopping Time!

Of course, this is just a wishlist or an inspiration list. I definitely will not be purchasing all of these products but they’re something I can recommend or I have my eye on for a possible future purchase. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these, or if there are others you’d recommend!
